The Port Authority of the Cayman Islands is requesting bids from local marine companies with dealership licenses for the replacement of the following equipment on its two 27ft Boston Whaler patrol boats:
- Twin outboard 225hp motors
- 8 Kw diesel marine generators inclusive of cooling system
- 24,000 BTU marine air conditioners for the cabins

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
Cruise Berthing Development Project
SALARY: CI$77,712 – $104,532.00 PER ANNUM
The Post holder will be responsible to the Chief Project Manager (CPM) of the Public Works Department (PWD) for the successful delivery of major a Cruise Berthing Development project through all project stages to completion. This project will be delivered through a form of Public Private Partnership. Post holder duties involve providing high quality project management of this project through all stages of the project lifecycle with specific responsibilities including:
- Resource planning;
- Management of business case consultants (Financial, Legal, Technical – (including environmental) Overseeing updates to outline business case through final business case;
- Procurement of design consultants/contractors including tender/contract preparation;
- Management of Public/Private Stakeholder meetings and Public meetings;
- Monitoring the design as well as the construction process;
- Monitoring the commissioning and post commissioning process;
- The management of Media/Press releases and liaising with Government regulatory entities and Authorities.
Qualifications Experience & Skills
The post holder must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the applied sciences related to construction/construction management (i.e. civil engineering, quantity surveying, project management, and architecture or construction management) from an accredited educational Institution. Additionally, the post holder must be a registered, professional member of his/her discipline established either in the UK, US or Canada.
The post holder will possess a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in Project Management and contract administration which shall include significant experience in managing projects in excess of $25 million. Prior experience in significant seaport projects and PPP projects is considered very desirable. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management Software; be a team player and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
