To better manage the transportation sector on the Port, the Port Authority will implement the following requirement commencing on Monday 18.11.2013.
All Operators (Pre-booked, Internet booked & Watersports Operators) will be required to provide to the Port Authority either by email to TTL@caymanport.com, or by hard copy to the Taxi Dispatch Supervisor on duty, a listing of the tours they have for that day, the times of the tours, the number of persons on each tour, which ship they are from, the number of vehicles and the names of the drivers of those vehicles that they will be using.
The form can be downloaded from : Listing of tours by operators (PDF)
The Port Authority is currently having issues with our Internet connectivity. This is causing interruptions to our online cruise schedule, What’s In Port and releasing BOLs. We are working with LIME to resolve these issues as soon as possible and we apologize for the inconvenience.
Attached is a list of changes to our regular work schedule due to the Pirates Week and other Holidays in 2013. Please make arrangements to have your cargo picked up early as the Warehouse will be closed on some of the days listed. Click here for all the details.
The Board Of Directors at the port has been updated. This information was gazetted on Friday, August 2nd.
For more information check out the updated “Board Of Directors”
On Saturday, July 26th, the Port Authority will be installing electrical equipment at our Harbour Drive offices from 9am until 12pm. During this time, we will be using handheld radios and therefore, our VHF coverage will be significantly reduced. The 911 Communications office will be monitoring channel 16 in case of emergency. Also during this time, the Port’s main 949-2055 phone number will not be operational. To contact the Port Authority, please dial 623-2055 instead.
Some unscheduled necessary maintenance is currently being done to the back end of our website. This maintenance disables all account access and access to our What’s In Port and Cruise Schedule information. We expect this maintenance to be complete, at the latest, by the end of business today (July 18th, 2013). The Port Authority would like to apologize to our customers for this interruption in service.
There has been a revision in the boat licensing fee, according to the Supplement No. 1 published with Extraordinary Gazette No. 39 dated 10th May, 2013; where a local vessel is used for commercial purposes, the owner of the vessel shall be exempt from paying the fee.
